What to do with all the prints made that weren't quite perfect? Well I am a collage artist after all...put them together with other prints and add drawings and painting and ... new work!

A New Book

The latest book from my studio is a gift to my 21 year old daughter. It is a story of her adventurous life, and a tribute to her love for trees, tree houses and the outdoors. It is a book in a book, all recycled materials. Here are some pictures of it in progress and then the completed piece.

sunflower beauty

Sunflowers are so dramatic! I love them. So after teaching 2 classes of 5 year olds about painting sunflowers I had to have a go too. Then as all good collage artists do I cut them up. The results being entered into my visual diary - from "The Artist's Notebook Project" - due any day now... I popped a tomato page in too-inspiration fresh from my vegie patch

Colour Day

Ah the joy of colour!! In preparation for an upcoming party I dyed and re-dyed some muslin I use to decorate. (I have used Procion mx dyes) Loving the colour and the way the muslin hangs on the line!

The Greatest Story Ever Told

Sketchbook Project update.

Such a long time since my last post. But it is a new year and I now have 2 days dedicated to studio time, hopefully this will mean I really develop my artwork and art business. More journalling, creating and blogging!!
My sketchbook arrived in the USA last week and will journey with the sketchbook project around the states. It will end up in the Brooklyn Art Library in NY.
My topic was "The greatest story ever told" and as there is only one greatest story ever told, mine was a Jesus story. I'll upload a few images for you to see.
