Sketchbook project complete!

Finally, I have finished my 'Treehouse' sketchbook project. Just in time to post it before the Jan 31 deadline. Phew! Another thing to tick off my holiday list, which is a relief as my holidays end today. :( Such a beautiful summer's day too!

Sketchbook Project Update

So the date for the closing of the Sketchbook project is looming and I am now in a hurry to complete my sketchbook.
My theme this year is Treehouse. This year the sketchbook project is coming to Melbourne, all those of you from Melbourne will be able to go and have a look at heaps of different sketchbooks in November. check the Sketchbook project for details
I thought it wouldn't be too difficult to create a number of different tree house images..... never speak too soon should be my motto.... anyway I am getting there.

A little Commission

Well, it's not really a commission, just something I was asked to do by Carol Barton of pop up books fame. She wanted to get ideas from different artists for her pop up party cards, newspaper insert. Due out sometime this year. I had fun making this one, might even make more now.

Holiday Activities

Well, here in Australia it is the lazy hazy days of summer, being a teacher I have a lovely long holiday at this time of year. This summer I have done lots of clearing out of stuff and made an attempt to do things I never get time for during the year.
Thus, I have made a quilt with the fabric I bought on a whim sometime ago - loved the colours - you know the drill. Anyway, as I am not really a quilt maker it is a quick quilt in style. Thought I'd share it with you. I started out thinking I would hand stitch it as I love the mediative nature of hand stitching, but true to self I took the faster option of straight machine quilt stitching instead.  Then it was finished and I could move on to the next thing on my list!
